2024년 6월 29일(토) - 7월 2일(화) 미국 시카고 McCormick Place에서 개최되는 미국영양학회 (American Society for Nutrition) 주관 NUTRITION 2024에서 우리대학 식품영양학과 석박통합과정 오리라 학생과 이하은 연구원 (24.02 석사과정 졸업, 現 영양유전체학 연구실 석사후연구원)(지도교수: 김성은)이 “Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Poster Competition”을 각각 수상하였다.
해당 국제 학술대회를 주관한 American Society for Nutrition은 전 세계 영양학 연구 과학자와 임상의들을 위한 전문 기관으로 1928년 창립되어 영양학 분야의 최고 연구자, 의사, 정책 입안자 및 업계 리더들이 모여 영양학에 대한 지식을 도모한다. NUTRITION 2024는 American Society for Nutrition의 대표적인 정기 학술대회이자 전 세계 영양 전문가를 위한 최고의 교육 행사로 167개국에서 3만 명 이상의 과학자들이 참가할 예정이다.
학생과 박사 후 연구진들이 900개 이상의 초록을 제출했으며, 400명 이상의 영양학자들이 평가하여 상위 10%의 최고 점수를 받은 초록이 Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Poster Competition으로 뽑혔다. American Society for Nutrition의 회장인 Kevin Schalinske 교수는 '수상자들은 영양학 분야의 떠오르는 미래 인재들로 이들의 업적과 수상을 축하한다. 본 학회는 앞으로 수상자들이 영양 과학과 실천에 대한 이해를 보다 심화 발전시키는데 기여하고 우리 학회에도 적극적으로 참여하기를 기대한다.'고 밝혔다.
오는 6월 29일(토) 18:30-19:30에는 Award Competition이 열릴 예정으로, 아래와 같이 해당 수상 분야의 finalists (수상자)들이 최종 평가를 받는다.
